UGC-NET Exam on June 18 Canceled Amid Allegations of Irregularities, Announces Center!
On June 18, the UGC NET exam held nationwide was canceled.
New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Education has announced the cancellation of the UGC NET (UGC-NET 2024) exam held on June 18. This decision was promptly announced following allegations of several irregularities in conducting the exam. Additionally, the investigation of these allegations has been handed over to the CBI.
Tuesday, on June 18, the UGC NET exam was conducted nationwide. That exam has now been canceled. According to the announcement, the date for the rescheduled exam will be announced later.

According to the announcement, the Threat Analytics Unit of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre under the Ministry of Home Affairs received information about irregularities in conducting the NET exam yesterday. The matter was then reported to the UGC. Considering the seriousness of the allegations, the Union Ministry of Education decided to cancel the exam.
The NET exam was conducted yesterday in various cities across the country. Previously, there were serious allegations of irregularities like question paper leaks in the NEET-UG exam, which escalated to the Supreme Court. The National Testing Agency and the central government had to face questions from the apex court. In the statement issued by the Ministry of Education, it was asserted that appropriate measures will be taken against those involved in the irregularities in the NEET exam as well, with the strictest actions being enforced.
